The Crédit Agricole group is present in Australia through its subsidiary in Sydney, Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank Australia Ltd and a second office in Melbourne.
CA CIB was granted a license by the Australian regulator in January 2022 allowing it to expand its offering to include corporate lending, capital markets, investments, financing and risk management, strengthening its long-standing strength in financing of real estate, energy and infrastructure. Deployment of the international trade platform is underway, with completion expected in early 2025.

The International Desk Asia-Pacific provides support to the Group's corporate clients in Australia for carrying out their operations on site, using in particular banking advice, arranging financing, information on local businesses, and on a case-by-case basis for commercial assistance. It relies on Group entities and a leading local partner bank. For non-banking, the International Desk offers the support of its leading partners in business internationalization.
General Information
The legal framework is stable and clear, a legacy of English law. The formalities of registering a business in Australia are simple. Even if there is the possibility of buying a pre-incorporated or "shelf company" from law or accounting firms, it is important to check that the company has never had any commercial activity.
