General information

Mauritius has several assets that make it an attractive destination: political stability, a developed banking system, a favourable tax regime and a favourable environment for investors.

India and China are the two most important suppliers, France 4th. In terms of exports, the European Union (mainly France) and the United Kingdom lead the partner countries.

While tourism and agriculture continue to occupy an important place in the economy, other sectors are developing, such as manufacturing, information and communication technologies, construction, energy, etc

Means of payment & banking specificities

To secure your payment, we strongly recommend the use of a confirmed documentary credit with sight payment, or even 30 to 60 days maximum.

Few late payments are reported as most payments are made in advance or by confirmed documentary appropriations.

It is common and recommended to negotiate the payment of a deposit upon order.

The best currencies for invoicing trade are the euro, the US dollar and sterling.
